Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Java Developer in a hybrid capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.
- This is a hybrid position requiring a candidate local to one of the following locations to repot on site 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs):
- St. Louis, MO
- Morris Plains, NJ
- Perform optimization of website content and code
- Perform technical assessments of platform changes and enhancements
- Engage in production support research and resolution recommendations
- Hands-on experience in testing, debugging and fixing issues
- Execute application architecture by working closely with delivery teams to enable efficient and optimal use of our technology assets
- Ensure adherence to our IT strategy and guidelines
- Familiarity with producing conceptual prototypes to visualize & demonstrate key concepts and capabilities to stakeholders
- Able to drive and clearly communicate technology solution, design, and architecture framework
- Provide in-depth technical consultation to other developers, clients, business partners and IT to ensure development of efficient application utilizing established standards, procedures and methodologies
- Ability to understand new technologies and trends
- Sets aggressive and measurable goals and drives the team to deliver on those objectives
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines
- Ability to work independently as a member of a virtual or geographically dispersed team
- Capacity to thrive within a high-energy fast-paced environment
- BS/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or 8 years of experience in a related field
- 6 years of experience in development using Java/Spring Boot Micro Services
- 5 years of strong SQL query skills, SQL performance tuning & optimization, and SQL Server stored procedures
- Strong experience in following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, JavaBeans, Servlets, JSP, JMS, JDBC
- Development environments : Eclipse, IntelliJ, VS Code
- Advanced Web Services skills: SOAP, UDDI, XML, WSDL
- Databases: MemSql, SQL Server, Postgresql
- Proficient with SQL query skills, SQL performance tuning & optimization, SQL Server stored procedures
- Experience building and knowledge of service oriented architectures (SOA) and web services
- 1 year of experience with cloud native development and familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS preferred
- Experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins preferred
- Strong communication skills (written & oral) with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical design, architecture specifications, and other written artifacts
