We are seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 Systems Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. In this role, you will manage and support a wide array of systems, including data center technologies, server environments, virtualization, networking, storage, and more. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of systems and services across the enterprise.

- Maintain, manage, and troubleshoot virtual server environments, enterprise storage solutions, and network configurations.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of systems across data centers, including server hardware, virtualization technologies, networking, and storage infrastructure.
- Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for system outages, performance issues, and hardware failures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deploy and manage solutions in cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Administer and support various systems and technologies, including Active Directory, backup solutions, and firewall configurations.
- Document configuration changes, processes, and procedures for infrastructure systems.
- Participate in the automation and scripting of server and infrastructure management tasks, such as backup and monitoring.
- Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies, hardware, and software.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Monitor system health and performance, and provide recommendations for optimization and scaling.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, including data center technologies, virtualization, networking, and storage management.
- Strong experience with virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage solutions.
- Proficiency in managing networks, firewalls, and cloud computing environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft directory services and Active Directory administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (highly preferred).
- Proficiency in Azure administration and resource management.
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305).
- Experience with Terraform authoring and execution.
- Knowledge of IIS and JBoss application servers.
- Shell scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell.
- Ability to administer and troubleshoot server (both virtual and physical), network (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers), storage, backup solutions, and Active Directory.
