Treasury Associate - Part Time Contractor
Ann Arbor, MI
Term - 3 months
Note - Role is Part Time - requesting 4 hours each day during core hours (8am-5pm)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
(40%) Cash Management
- Compile daily cash position reporting
- Complete daily redemption or investment of certain bank accounts
- Complete international and domestic wire or ACH payments
- Document non-routine payment processes
- Facilitate the maintenance of banking workstation payment templates
- Utilize online banking workstation to troubleshoot and solve payment issues
- Monitor bank accounts to ensure positive bank balances
- Maintain appropriate internal controls and adhere to company policy and procedures. Ensure no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses, as defined by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
(30%) Asset Backed Security (ABS) Reporting
- Record daily ABS bank and payment activity for documentation and analysis
- Compile and deliver weekly, periodic and quarterly required ABS reporting
- Reconcile all ABS payment and funds flow activity
- Compile quarterly ABS covenant documentation
(20%) Cash Flow Analysis and Forecasting
- Compile weekly cash flow variance analysis for management
- Compile periodic cash flow forecast and budget for flash projections
(5%) Bank Account Maintenance
- Facilitate the updating and documentation of appropriate signers for all bank accounts
- Coordinate with external auditors and banks to ensure the receipt of bank account confirmations
- Maintain a list of banking contacts
(5%) Analysis and Ad-Hoc Requests
- Complete ad-hoc analysis of treasury-related questions (e.g., historical interest income and rate) and present solutions to Treasury team
- Perform analysis on certain income statement expenses, including bank fees, interest income, interest expense and present to Treasury team
- Assist the Treasury team with process improvements and enhanced reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required
- 1-2 Years Finance, Accounting, or Treasury Experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Detail oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
- Time management, organizational, analysis and reconciliation skills
- Ability to independently work through dynamic Treasury processes
- Availability to perform necessary Treasury operations in contingency situations
