Conexon’s mission is to provide high speed internet and phone service to Rural America through its work with rural cooperatives as well as through its own internet service provider subsidiary, Conexon Connect. The Wireless Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of operations for our Fixed Wireless product, including physical layer network performance, field service teams, customer installations, and infrastructure maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining our high standard of service, and driving continuous improvements in efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :
Wireless Management :
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring network uptime, service quality, and efficiency across all teams.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize performance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service goals are met or exceeded.
Team Leadership :
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of contractor and in-house technicians, including tower climbers and customer installers.Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the wireless team.Ensure proper training and development programs are in place to enhance staff capabilities.Recruit, select, train, assign, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.Run management meetings.Customer Satisfaction :
Work closely with the customer service team and technical support team to address operational issues that impact customer experience.Implement strategies with network operations team to minimize service disruptions and respond promptly to customer concerns.Network & Infrastructure Management :
Oversee the maintenance and optimization of network infrastructure, including last-mile hardware, backhaul links, and tower equipment.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Ensure minimal outages and quick repairs.Vendor & Partner Relations :
Manage relationships with equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors.Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement to ensure cost-effective and reliable operations.Financial Management :
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for operational activities.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs without compromising service quality.Qualifications :
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a telecommunications or wireless environment.Strong technical background with knowledge of wireless networking, fiber, and last-mile solutions.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with standard wireless industry networking equipment.Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) and network monitoring tools.Understanding of the challenges in providing internet service to rural and underserved areas.Job Type : Full-time
