About the role:
Our Software client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager who will perform financial analysis and reporting activities to support short-term and long-term strategic plans and operating budgets. This candidate will show great initiative and the ability to work with limited supervision. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded individual that must have industry experience in Software, Technology, or Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage consolidation of monthly results and analyze against forecast, budget, and prior year results to present to Senior Management.
- Manage the month-end close, monthly reforecast, and annual budget process, including variance analysis vs prior forecast.
- Excellent understanding of the month end process including, but not limited to, the preparation of financial statements, accruals, and journal entries, maintaining reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in an established corporate format and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Partner with team members across FP&A and Accounting to identify opportunities to streamline strategic and operational processes.
- Manage the fiscal period closing process for assigned customer portfolio to ensure that revenue recognition and variable cost are recorded compliantly and communicated timely.
- Prepare intercompany reconciliation, ensure all inter-company transactions are properly recorded.
- Support process simplification to improve our external customer focus and risk management.
- Build and leverage deep understanding of business objectives, issues, and root causes and provides insightful, fact-based data analysis to help solve complex financial dilemmas.
- Support and develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
- Actively participate in problem solving initiatives to determine root cause, gap analysis, along with the development and implementation of process improvement recommendations.
- Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of various reports provided to internal customers; as well as support ad-hoc data and information requests, as required.
- Assist with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent directly related work experience.
- Technology, Software, SaaS, or related industry experience required.
- Systems Experience such as Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, and Tableau are all deemed good.
- Advance knowledge and understanding of GAAP financial reporting standards.
- Eye for details – attention to quality and accuracy is of paramount importance in this role.
