The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting, hold a CPA license, and possess expertise in ASC accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606 and ASC 842) and financial reporting, including 10-K and 10-Q preparation.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Technical Accounting Manager to lead and oversee our accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will be crucial in ensuring compliance with ASC accounting standards, accurate financial reporting, and timely preparation of regulatory filings (e.g., 10-K and 10-Q).
Key Responsibilities:
- ASC Accounting Standards Expertise: Stay current with ASC accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and ensure the organization's accounting practices align with these standards.
- Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and compliant with ASC standards and regulatory requirements.
- 10-K and 10-Q Preparation: Manage the preparation and filing of the company's 10-K annual report and 10-Q quarterly reports, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors as needed.
- Technical Accounting Research: Conduct thorough research on complex accounting issues and provide guidance on their treatment in financial statements and disclosures.
- Policy Development: Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ASC standards and enhance the efficiency of the financial reporting process.
- Revenue Recognition: Lead efforts related to revenue recognition, including providing guidance on contract reviews and assessment of revenue recognition criteria under ASC 606.
- Lease Accounting: Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842, including lease classification, measurement, and disclosures.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure proper accounting treatment in diverse business transactions.
- External Audits: Manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors and preparing audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred.
- CPA license is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of public accounting experience, with a strong background in technical accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of ASC accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
- Proven experience in 10-K and 10-Q preparation and filing.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
