Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Asset Analyst to manage our organization’s IT asset lifecycle. The ideal candidate will oversee the tracking, procurement, maintenance, and disposal of IT hardware and software assets. You will ensure that assets are accurately recorded, compliant with company policies, and optimized for efficiency. This role is vital in supporting our IT department and aligning with business goals through efficient asset management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Tracking and Documentation: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets using asset management tools and systems. Ensure all assets are properly labeled, tracked, and updated in the asset management database.
- Procurement and Ordering: Assist in the procurement of IT hardware and software. Work closely with vendors and internal teams to facilitate ordering and receiving of assets.
- Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal. Track asset warranties, service agreements, and software licenses.
- Software License Management: Monitor software usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements. Track software renewals, audits, and licensing gaps.
- Disposal and Decommissioning: Ensure proper disposal of retired or obsolete IT assets in line with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Reporting and Auditing: Prepare regular reports on asset utilization, lifecycle, and status for management. Conduct periodic audits of assets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work with the IT support team to manage asset requests and ensure timely resolution of asset-related issues. Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to ensure proper billing and inventory alignment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in IT asset management or related fields.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and licensing.
- Familiarity with IT asset management software/tools (ServiceNow).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- ITIL certification or knowledge.
- Experience in software license management and compliance.
- Knowledge of environmental and data security standards for asset disposal.
Salary : $40 - $50
