Freelance Journalist

We are looking for a dedicated and insightful Journalist with expertise in the container shipping and logistics industryto join our team. The ideal candidate will have grasp of maritime trade, supply chain dynamics, and global container shipping trends. You will be responsible for researching, writing, and publishing high-quality content covering industry news, regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Industry Reporting: Monitor and report on key developments in the container shipping, ports, logistics, and maritime trade sectors.
• News Writing & Analysis: Deliver timely news articles, in-depth reports, and investigative pieces on trends, market movements, and industry regulations.
• Interviews & Networking: Conduct interviews with industry leaders, executives, and stakeholders to provide unique insights and expert opinions.
• Event Coverage: Attend and cover industry events, trade shows, and conferences, providing live updates and post-event analysis.
• Market Research: Analyze shipping rates, supply chain disruptions, regulatory policies, and environmental sustainability initiatives affecting the industry.
• Digital & Print Content: Contribute articles for online platforms, newsletters, and industry magazines, ensuring content is engaging and factually accurate.
• SEO & Social Media Engagement: Optimize articles for SEO and contribute to industry discussions via social media platforms.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 1–5 years of experience in journalism, preferably covering shipping, logistics, or global trade.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of container shipping, port operations, and supply chain logistics.
• Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data, financial reports, and regulatory frameworks.
• Networking Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals.
• Tech & Digital Savvy: Experience with content management systems (CMS), SEO strategies, and social media engagement.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
