POSITION: Licensed Practical Nurse
SALARY: $30.95 - $32.84 D.O.E, per hour
REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing
LOCATION: Convalescent Center, Nespelem, WA
Basic Functions: Non-Exempt. Provide direct nursing care to the residents. Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the NAC’s. Such supervision must be in accordance with all current federal, state, and tribal standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. Provide the highest degree of care to each and every resident.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Requires a Must possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Washington
- Requires to have 12 months of experience in a long term care facility, preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing, medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must report abuse and neglect to State Hotline as a mandated reporter.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.
- Willing to cover extra shifts when able, as this facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Must successfully clear an extensive Criminal History Background Inquiry and maintain throughout employment.
- Must maintain a State Drivers’ License and be eligible for the Tribes’ insurance throughout employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
- Requires to be knowledgeable in Geriatrics and LTC setting and Chronic Diseases.
- Requires be able to work and think independently.
- Requires to respect resident rights.
- Requires to be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such a weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
- Requires to be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
