POSITION: Short Notice Cook Senior
SALARY: $20.99 - $23.63 , per hour DOE
REPORTS TO: Food Service Manager
LOCATION: Nespelem, WA
Basic Functions: Non- exempt positon The Short Notice Cook Senior is responsible for the preparation of all meals and snacks, assuring that all meals are prepared conforming to the menu and recipes. All meals must be prepared in a timely manner and presented in an appealing manner.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year Long Term Care cooking experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of safe and proper food handling, storage, and disposal practices.
- Requires ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
- Requires the ability to obtain a Food Handlers care within 5 days of employment.
- Requires the ability to function independently and be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Requires ability to process diet changes and new diet orders as received the Nursing department.
- Requires the applicant to successfully clear a criminal history background inquiry with BCCU that indicates no felony or conviction on the DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
