What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fisheries Technician (X2) position at Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, Oregon?
Assist project biologist or crew lead with spawning ground surveys, working fish traps, handling and tagging juvenile and adult fish, tracking adult fish with radio telemetry equipment, snorkel surveys, and data entry. Must be in good physical shape as hiking, snorkeling, and other survey work is often in steep terrain and hot/cold weather. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required and must arrive to work punctually.
Requirements
Work hours usually M-F 8-5 but occasional weekend or night work required. Valid Oregon Driver's license, high school graduate or equivalent GED, related experience desired, and must successfully pass a drug test and be insurable for driving by the tribes. Must also submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State Law Enforcement.
