What are the responsibilities and job description for the WIC CertifierNutrition Technician position at Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs?
The WIC Certifier is responsible for assessing the program eligibility and nutrition risks of pregnant postpartum and breastfeeding women infants and children under 5 years of age. Certifies perform clerical administrative and nutrition education duties assisting the Coordinator of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children (WIC). Basic math and computer skills are required. Candidate should be comfortable performing simple blood collection procedures. Good critical thinking and communication skills are essential. Looking for a team player who is motivated and requires minimal supervision. Must be able and willing to participate in continuing education and training.
Requirements
One year of experience in nutrition health or child care related field preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required. Must have a valid drivers license and auto insurance and be able to pass a criminal background check with Federal Tribal and State Law Enforcement. Will also be re required to pass a pre employment alcohol and drug screening.
