Position Overview
The Information Technology Director is responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Company’s information system and security policies. This position manages IT policies and procedures and is responsible for the training, compliance, and training of staff and associates on related issues. The Manager serves as the key team member in meeting the IT system needs of the Company, including hardware acquisition, security systems, licensing, Helpdesk, and data management. The position will be based out of the Folsom office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and Management
- Deliver cost-effective and right-sized infrastructure solutions in support of Company objectives and strategic goals.
- Manage the inventory, procurement, and maintenance of IT equipment – always with cost savings in mind.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with technology vendors for developing, implementing, and maintaining appropriate network infrastructure, network storage solutions, data communications, virtual conferencing, and telecommunications systems.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relationships for computer hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain business continuity/disaster recovery plan and systems
- Work closely with the DevOps team in order to ensure the security and reliability of the Azure infrastructure environment.
- Provide Helpdesk metrics and reports based on KPI’s to senior leadership.
Information Security and Risk Management
- Lead the Company's efforts to create and maintain documented IT policies and IT security controls and procedures to protect Company-critical assets and operations.
- Develop and maintain business continuity protocols and system recovery plans to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Participate in information security audits, whether performed by the organization or third party personnel.
- Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and comply with policies and audit requirements.
Technical Support and Training
- Provide staff with technical support and first-line troubleshooting of hardware, software, audiovisual, and telecommunications issues. Escalate issues and engage warranty and vendor support as needed.
- Manage organization-wide technology training, with an emphasis on improving user acceptance of the organization's technology tools and adherence to established standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· This position supervises one individual to support their mission.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field or the equivalent career experience in the field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Five (5) plus years’ IT experience.
- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with data management strategies to connect multiple applications together.
- Experience managing a Microsoft 365 environment.
- Microsoft Associate-level (or higher) certifications in Azure and Microsoft 365 are highly desirable.
- Management certifications CISSP, CCISO, PMP, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
Computer/Technical Skills/Other Skills
- Must be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, database software, and internet use.
- Excellent working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
- Expertise with Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft 365 and Office, Server 2019, and relational databases
- Expertise in cabling, wireless access, VPN, and TCP/IP networking.
- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking, and enterprise software solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external vendors.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and staff development skills are required.
- Independent and critical thinking, problem solving, and an innovative approach will lead to success in this evolving and key role.
