What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at CONFESSIONS?
1. Cleaning and Clearing Tables
- Remove empty glasses, bottles, plates, and other items from tables promptly.
- Wipe down and sanitize tables and chairs after guests leave.
- Reset tables with any necessary items (coasters, menus, etc.).
2. Supporting Bartenders and Servers
- Bring used glassware, dishes, and utensils to the bar or kitchen for cleaning.
- Replenish bar supplies like clean glassware, napkins, straws, or garnishes.
- Deliver water or additional items to guests if needed, as directed by servers or bartenders.
3. Maintaining Cleanliness
- Sweep or mop floors as needed to ensure the area remains safe and presentable.
- Empty trash bins regularly and replace liners.
- Clean spills promptly to avoid hazards.
4. Monitoring Guest Areas
- Walk through the venue to collect abandoned drinks, dishes, or trash.
- Ensure high-traffic areas like the dance floor, bar counter, and restrooms remain tidy.
- Check that furniture (e.g., bar stools, tables) is organized and in its proper place.
5. Stocking Supplies
- Restock ice bins, glassware, and utensils for bartenders and servers.
- Ensure that napkins, condiments, and other essentials are readily available in guest areas.
6. Assisting with Crowd Management
- Help monitor table availability and inform the host or manager of open spots.
- Politely assist in directing guests to their tables or sections as needed.
7. Closing Duties
- Assist in breaking down sections, including stacking chairs and cleaning thoroughly.
- Help restock for the next shift (e.g., setting up clean glasses or napkins).
- Deep clean the floors, surfaces, and bar areas to prepare for the next day.
