Confidant Luncheonette is inspired by New York City’s vibrant diner and deli culture, bringing a fine-dining level of attention to detail and inventiveness to midday fare in a bright and bustling, yet laid-back environment. For dinner, Confidant will transform into a place of comfort and luxury. Showcasing a seasonal a la carte menu with a 6-course tasting menu and chef table experience that will spotlight the ingenuity and creativity of the Confidant team. Confidant & its Luncheonette are committed to matching the vibrant innovation and excitement of Industry City and its historic roots through a high level execution, and an intentional, relentlessly evolving menu.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• A highly motivated and energetic personality
• Has ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility and great phone and guest etiquette for host
• Must pro-actively assist the FOH team and Management in servicing the guest's needs
• Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach
• Be familiar with all local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately, strong communication skills and phone etiquette are must for Host position.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts including Management, fellow employees and guests, work as a team.
• Effectively communicate English in verbal form.
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Confidant Brand standards.
• Work with FOH and BOH team members to improve guest experience
• Exhibit proper menu and service knowledge
• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet and to manipulate them from heights which may require the use of a footstool.
Position Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) years of experience in a restaurant or similar environment preferred adequate knowledge of food safety and sanitation, flexible schedule, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Evening and Weekend Availability a MUST!
• Team-service experience is strongly recommended.
• Customer service orientation should consist of the organization, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work in teams.
*Must have or be willing to obtain food certification.
