Clinical Dietitian Position Overview:
As the Clinical Dietitian, you will oversee the nutritional well-being of our residents. Conduct nutrition assessments, identifying residents’ nutritional needs and creating effective diet plans.
Clinical Dietitian Key Duties:
- Assess and monitors the Resident’s nutritional status, provide recommendations to medical staff, and develop adequate care plans.
- Evaluate the special needs of Residents regarding nutrition support, skin breakdown, and significant weight loss.
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to review and adjust resident’s care plans.
- Work closely with Speech Pathologists to ensure appropriate mechanically altered diets are provided for residents with dysphagia.
- Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
- One year of experience with Seniors. Clinical Dietitian in a Long-Term Care setting preferred.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Nutrition or Dietetics as well as the completion of the accredited Dietetic Internship program.
- Knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulations and the survey process.
