Salary: $16-$17 per hour DOE
OPERATOR (RMTC 2pm-10pm)
Lucent Group, Inc., is currently seeking Full-Time Dispatchers supporting the RMTC (Regional Transportation Management Center, 365, 24/7) to join the team in Tampa, Florida.
Summary Of Position
Dispatchers are instrumental in operating the RTMC, which utilizes state-of-the-art Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices such as cameras and dynamic messaging signs to monitor road conditions and provide vital traveler information within Florida DOT D7.
Dispatchers collaborate closely with partnering agencies to ensure prompt response to incidents and facilitate efficient roadway clearance through the utilization of audio and video surveillance. Additionally, play a key role in dispatching Road Rangers and employing cutting-edge technology including traffic signals, CCTV monitoring systems, and freeway and arterial roadway management, among others.
Requirements For Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is adept at monitoring and managing roadway conditions and incidents using specialized software tailored for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Work hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm
- Six months experience using MS Office and/or other computer software.
- Technical skill ability
- Data entry experience
- Customer service experience
- Dispatch experience.
- Surveillance and CCTV experience
- Transportation industry experience, preferred.
- First Responder, Road Ranger or Dispatch experience a plus
- Ability to work in a team, prioritize and
- Ability to work in a and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and computer skills
- Ability to take direction and follow detailed procedures.
- Required to participate in a 4-week training session.
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
- Flexible re: work hours, may be required to support various shifts on weekdays, holidays and weekends.
