Confident Car Repair & Tire Inc is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive systems, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities :
- Engine Repair
- Electrical systems repair
- Steering and suspension repairs including 4-wheel alignments
- Review repair orders for work performed and accuracy of all labor, parts and sublet documentation for billing
- Knowledge of the proper use of various inspection and diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain the parts inventory for neatness, accuracy (cycle counts), and correct stocking levels
- Experience in handling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste.
- Control service supplies to minimize waste
- Advance engine performance and drivability
- Experience in the maintenance and use of precision tools and shop equipment in repair of automotive equipment, including automotive hoists.
- Experience and / or skills in safely using hand or power tools and equipment such as hydraulic lifts, impact wrenches, drills, etc.
- Experience with computerized work order systems : billing parts on work orders, typing customer notes, tracking time worked.
- Ability to perform welding and fabrication of automotive equipment.
- Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to identify / correct hazardous problems and use judgment as to when to report problems / safety hazards.
- Ability to accommodate changing priorities and complete tasks despite intermittent interruptions.
- Brake diagnosis and repair
- Provide general support to store operations to maintain vehicle inventory and meet quality standards
- Heating and air conditioning repair
- Consult with service customers regarding needed repairs
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance
- Interact with all customers in a friendly, service oriented manner
- Explain all recommendations / repairs / service / maintenance performed to ensure customer understanding
- Locate and receive shipments of parts
- Receive parts into inventory
