MRI Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical imaging techniques. The MRI Technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

• Conduct MRI scans according to established protocols and procedures.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate MRI equipment, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance.
• Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results and relevant medical history.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety standards to minimize risks during procedures.
• Stay updated on advancements in MRI technology and best practices in medical imaging.

Experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
• Previous experience in sonography or CT imaging is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and medical imaging equipment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure in a clinical environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $64.86 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
