Electrical Controls Engineer (1698155) $80K - $120K
Location: Sparks, MD
Full Time; Direct Hire
Position:
Senior level Electrical Controls Engineer to design and create PLC and HMI programs from scratch utilizing Rockwell Allen-Bradley, including startup and debug of controls for manufacturing uses involving conveyor and material handling systems in the field. Design and program various Robotic applications.
- Design and program software programs for custom conveying and automation systems.
- Prepare PLC and operator interface programs.
- Perform functional checks, troubleshoot, start-up of control systems throughout the U.S. (approx. 50-60% travel required).
Skills & Abilities:
Required: 5 to 8 years’ experience
- Design and program Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, PLC, HMI and use of Ethernet.
- Experience and hands-on knowledge of Operator interface programs. Rockwell FactoryTalk View HMI & RSView.
- Robotic programming utilizing Fanuc.
- Working understanding of schematic wiring diagrams, PLC I/O, connection diagrams, and field drawings for design work. Design using AutoCAD.
- AutoCAD, Pite drawing & schematics, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
- High level of analytical ability to effectively evaluate, verify and/or select alternate design approaches.
Education & Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technology or equivalent degree.
Schedule: Work on-site and In Office
Travel: 50%
