Position Summary:
This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join a well established, dynamic and growing company. The CFO Assistant will initially focus on managing all aspects of the Accounts Receivable (AR) and billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash flow. This role will serve as a crucial foundation for future growth within the Accounting/Finance department, with the potential to develop into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position within 3-5 years.
Key Responsibilities
· Accounts Receivable (AR):
o Bank Reconciliation
o Manage the entire AR process, including invoicing the largest customers, collections, and cash application
o Monitor your customer accounts for overdue payments and proactively address any outstanding balances
o Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies
· Billing:
o Prepare accurate and timely invoices for all services rendered
o Ensure proper tax compliance for all invoices
o Maintain and update customer billing information
o Investigate and resolve billing inquiries from customers
· Financial Analysis:
o Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
o Perform financial analysis and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs)
o Identify and analyze financial trends and make recommendations for improvement
o Create and run drop reports for sales division
· Project Management:
o Participate in cross-functional projects related to finance and operations
o Assist in the implementation of new financial systems and processes
o Manage special projects as assigned
· CFO Succession Planning:
o Actively participate in the development of financial strategies and long-term goals
o Gain a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the company's financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (QuickBooks Enterprise preferred)
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning
