Quality Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support customer orders by performing various quality checks and processes. This role involves reviewing certifications, preparing data packages, and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review supplier software to confirm material meets purchase order, contract, and material specification requirements.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on part orders and prepare necessary data packages based on contract requirements.
• Maintain and update the supplier database, ensuring timely uploads of supplier software into Central Apps.
• Keep organized records and documents for projects, especially those related to Naval customer orders.
• Interpret customer drawings, contracts, work instructions, and material specifications to ensure accuracy.
• Use computers and ERP systems to manage data (knowledge of IFS is a plus).
• Prepare pump kits and assembly packages before they are assembled and tested.
• Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes using CBS tools.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Military Contracts.
• Familiarity with ASTM and Military specifications, including DFARS.
• Experience in reviewing material documents.
• Knowledge of CMM and NDT is an advantage.
• ERP system experience is required; knowledge of IFS is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• A team player who can set and follow through on agendas and plans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
