Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful applicant will be a champion of a safety culture, committed to preventing accidents, injuries, and illnesses in the workplace.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and illnesses to identify root causes and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and deliver training programs on occupational health and safety topics, including CPR and first aid.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on workers' compensation and workers' compensation law.
- Collaborate with management to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, and identify opportunities to improve safety and reduce risk.
- Fabricate and maintain accurate records of workplace incidents, injuries, and illnesses, as well as training and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, including CPR and first aid training.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation law.
- Proven experience in conducting workplace inspections and root cause analysis.
- Experience in training development and delivery, including CPR and first aid training.
- Familiarity with EPA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
