Managing Director - Equity Capital Markets

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equity Capital Markets (ECM) professional to join our team and lead/contribute to our growing ECM advisory practice.

Role Overview:

This team will play a critical role in providing expert guidance and execution support to clients navigating the complexities of equity capital markets transactions. This individual will leverage their deep understanding of ECM products, market dynamics, and investor relationships to deliver tailored solutions and drive successful outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Advisory:

• Provide strategic advice to clients on all aspects of ECM transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, convertible offerings, and private placements.
• Develop and present compelling pitch materials and presentations to prospective and existing clients.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis and valuation assessments to inform client decision-making.
• Advise on deal structuring, timing, and execution strategies.

Transaction Execution:

• Manage and oversee the execution of ECM transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, auditors, and syndicate banks.
• Conduct due diligence and prepare offering documents.
• Monitor market conditions and investor sentiment to optimize deal execution.

Business Development:

• Identify and cultivate new client relationships and business opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other market participants.
• Contribute to the development of the firm's ECM advisory platform and service offerings.
• Actively participate in industry events and conferences.

Market Analysis & Thought Leadership:

• Stay abreast of current market trends, regulatory developments, and investor preferences.
• Develop and publish insightful market research and thought leadership materials.
• Provide internal training and mentorship to junior team members.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor junior team members.
• Delegate effectively and ensure high quality output from the team.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• 15 years of experience in Equity Capital Markets, preferably in investment banking or advisory.
• Proven track record of successfully originating and executing ECM transactions.
• Strong understanding of ECM products, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong network of relationships with institutional investors and other market participants.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• Strong understanding of valuation and financial modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
