Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The QA Manager will oversee all aspects of quality control, ensuring that our products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and compliance within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with industry standards (e.g., USDA,HACCP, SQF, GMP).
- Supervise the QA team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, equipment, and final products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage product testing procedures and ensure that all products meet internal and external specifications before being shipped.
- Collaborate with other departments (production, safety, maintenance) to ensure seamless operations and high-quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve any quality issues, customer complaints, or non-conformances.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all quality-related activities, including audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with new regulations, certifications, and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Support and coordinate the plant’s continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and waste reduction.
- Ensure proper traceability and labeling of all products in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance management in the food industry, preferably in food processing.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems. (HAACP, GMP, SQF).
Experience with food safety audits, inspections, and certifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to effectively manage and solve quality issues.
Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence positive change.
Experience managing and leading a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
