Position Summary :
The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) will be a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for shaping and executing the company’s people strategy. This individual will partner closely with the executive team and Line-of-Business (LOB) leaders to align HR initiatives with business goals, driving operational excellence and fostering a high-performance culture. The VP of HR will lead all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation, organizational development, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior leadership, shaping HR strategies that drive business performance.
- Develop and execute a scalable HR roadmap to support the company’s growth objectives , including mergers & acquisitions (M&A) integration .
- Lead organizational design and workforce planning , ensuring the business is structured for long-term success.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture through targeted engagement and employee development initiatives .
Operational Excellence
Oversee HR operations , ensuring compliance with employment laws and alignment with industry best practices.Manage employee relations , providing strategic guidance on complex issues to foster a positive and productive work environment .Develop and track HR metrics to measure effectiveness, drive decision-making, and support continuous improvement.Partner with leadership to implement change management strategies that align with business transformation goals.Talent Development & Retention
Design and implement leadership development, succession planning, and training programs to enhance employee growth.Lead performance management initiatives , ensuring accountability and individual development.Oversee compensation analysis, pay structure design, and benefits program enhancements to attract and retain top talent.Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations .Oversee the development, updating, and enforcement of policies to mitigate risk and promote consistency.Lead investigations into EEO, harassment, and workplace complaints , managing legal responses as necessary.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Extensive HR leadership experience in a multi-state or multi-location environment .Proven experience in M&A integration and managing workforce transitions.Experience in private equity-backed organizations is a plus.Skills & Competencies :
Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies with corporate objectives.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive cultural transformation .Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) .High ethical standards, confidentiality, and sound judgment .Ability to travel as required.Preferred Certifications :
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
