Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively with patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Fabricating temporary crown and bridges
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Take digital X-rays as required.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
  • Collaborate with the dental receptionist to facilitate efficient office operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is required.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and practices, including endodontics and prosthodontics.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control standards in a clinical setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.87 - $22.03 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
