What are the responsibilities and job description for the Printing Specialist- GPO position at Confidential- Government Contracting Agency?
Our Client is seeking multiple Printing Specialists with Government Publishing Office (GPO) experience to support a large federal agency in Washington, DC
The ideal candidates will have experience:
o Working with GPO Forms:
· Identifying and completing a GPO Form SF1
· Identifying and completing a GPO Form 2511
· Identifying and completing a GPO 4044, Simplified Purchase Agreement (SPA).
· To populate the forms, must have comprehensive knowledge of printing terms, printing papers, printing inks, color, varnishes, other coatings, binding and finishing, distribution of printed material, and warehousing.
· Compiles printing specifications, completes GPO forms, reviews printers’ proofs, attends press inspections as necessary.
· Exercises quality control by assuring the published information is accurate, complete, and conforms to established standards and specifications.
· Consistently meets deadlines and time constraints.
· Utilizes strong time management skills to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
· Able to communicate with others efficiently and tactfully.
o Completed work for review before distribution.
o Qualifications and related achievement history must demonstrate a range of skills and adaptability to a variety of printing situations.
o Detail oriented, well-organized with an extensive range of specialized skills consisting of multi-level project coordination, planning activities, tracking of cost and time expenditures in the Program Offices print management database, broad and in-depth special studies, as well as the analysis, interpretation, and application of guidelines, polices, and procedures while ensuring quality performance.
o Interpret and apply guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to Government Publishing Office (GPO).
o Ensure that all printing outsourced for publication and distributions conforms to all legal and regulatory requirements following the guidelines of Title 44-US Code, Joint Committee on Printing Regulations.
o Provide technical guidance to customers at different stages of the printing process with guidance from the COR/AGR.
o Review incoming Request for Printing and Graphics Services detailing the specialized printing requirements of each customer. Review each request to make sure it is complete and requirements are clearly defined.
o Proactively seek guidance when requirements are unclear.
o Complete forms required for out-source processing through the Government Publishing Office (GPO) for submission to the customer.
o Obtain customer approval.
· Proactively seek final approval from COR/AGR for acceptability of work.
· Provide guidance to GPO accepted printing vendors in applying policies and procedures to ensure high quality printed products.
· Interface among Program Office, GPO and the printing vendor.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
· 3 to 5 years of experience working in a GPO environment.
· Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required
