Job Summary
As a member of the technical staff, the Structural Engineer is responsible for the design of modular TIAC (Turbine Inlet Air Cooling) Plant, CHP, Mission Critical and District Cooling Plant up to full production. This includes review and compliance with structural codes, perform structural analysis and pricing support; coordinate with Structural Designers and Detailers to generate and oversee fabrication drawings, preparing detailed plans and specifications, and support module production (including site / shop inspections) reviews; This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of all products currently in production.
Required Education and Experience.
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited University. (Other relevant degree accepted)
2. Experience in power plant or Industrial Plant design or similar working experience.
3. Familiar with local and international codes and standards (AISC, ASCE, ISO, ICC), regulations and implementations.
4. Familiar with design procedures and cooperation with other disciplines.
5. Familiar with engineering deliverables and in-depth requirements at different stages of a project.
6. Knowledge of AutoCAD.
7. Knowledge of STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA computer software.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Master’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited University.
2. Professional Engineer Registration.
3. Experience in structural steel engineering design.
4. Familiarity with structural steel construction practices - fabrication (cutting, squaring, aligning, welding, bolting, surface preparation), erection (rigging, lifting, fastening, leveling), finishing (painting).
