A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join its team. This role is responsible for general ledger support, financial transaction processing, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with ERP systems and GAAP compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate general ledger records, ensuring proper account coding and transaction completeness.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts within the ERP system.
- Assist with month-end closing, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, audits, and reports as required.
- Analyze financial information, investigate discrepancies, and provide resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial inquiries and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Work with the cost accountant to ensure cost data accuracy in the general ledger and assist in variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of experience in general ledger accounting and accounts payable.
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience with a strong foundation in GAAP.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Understanding of internal control principles and financial compliance requirements.
