We are a rapidly growing organization in the Parsippany, NJ area. We are seeking to hire a Production Planner to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:
The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling and coordinating production activities to ensure the efficient and timely manufacturing of products. This role involves balancing supply and demand, optimizing production schedules, and collaborating with various departments, including purchasing, logistics, and quality assurance, to meet company objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor production processes to identify and resolve potential delays or inefficiencies.
- Work closely with production supervisors and floor staff to ensure schedules are adhered to and adjustments are made as necessary.
- Analyze capacity and resource constraints, recommending solutions to optimize workflow.
- Generate reports on production status, efficiency, and capacity utilization for management review.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide realistic lead times and manage order priorities.
- Implement and maintain ERP/MRP systems for scheduling and tracking production activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Some College
- 2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of UPS shipping software Utilize
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
