Premier financial firm is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (salary up to $150K Bonus) for their Boston office. This individual will play a key role in providing SQL Server database and application support. The primary responsibility will be SQL Server database support and monitoring, along with system administration functions involving VMware, SQL Sentry, and other Microsoft technologies.
The Administrator will work closely with application developers on SQL administration support, assist the investment groups with database creation, create scripts to automate administrative tasks, and administrate functions involving VMware, SQL Sentry and other MS technologies.
Candidates must have 10 years of direct SQL server knowledge, strong Microsoft technology skills, experience with Always-On Availability Groups and virtualization technologies (ie VMware), and excels at troubleshooting and problem-solving. Previous experience with a cutting edge investment firm is a must.
