The Senior Plant Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions within the plant, ensuring policies and procedures are effectively implemented while maintaining compliance and supporting business objectives. This role works closely with the Plant Manager and Leadership team while reporting directly to the corporate HR organization.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a liaison between employees and management, resolving workplace issues.
- Provide coaching and guidance to plant leadership on employee concerns and disciplinary actions.
- Implement proactive strategies to maintain a union-free work environment by fostering positive employee relations and addressing concerns promptly.
- Organize company events such as luncheons and recognition programs.
- Represent the company in personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Compliance & HR Policy Implementation
- Interpret and apply company policies, benefits, and labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, quality, and company policies.
Compensation & Payroll
- Process weekly payroll and enforce attendance policies.
- Maintain employee records and generate reports on hiring, turnover, performance, and absenteeism.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
- Manage recruitment, selection, and retention to meet staffing needs.
- Partner with leadership to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Manage relationships with temporary labor agencies for staffing and payroll processing.
Training & Development
- Coordinate onboarding to foster a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement employee training programs, including safety initiatives.
Safety & Risk Management
- Investigate and manage workers' compensation claims in coordination with Corporate EH&S.
- Oversee plant safety programs, training, and first aid room management.
Additional Responsibilities
- Handle special directives and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in HR field or related area of study and/or equivalent HR experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, policies, and HR best practices.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong ability to convey information clearly and effectively in both written and spoken formats.
- Capable of managing tasks autonomously while ensuring timely completion under demanding conditions.
- Skilled in organizing workloads efficiently and analyzing challenges to develop effective solutions.
- Competence in utilizing digital tools and handling data for operational efficiency.
- Demonstrates a team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to achieving shared goals.
Travel Requirement: Less than 25%.
Salary : $100,000 - $107,500
