What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cold Rolling Mill position at Confidential-Manufacturing?
MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL-TEMPORARY WORK
Width and gauge differences between the mills, different vintages and levels of automation (Z22 more than other mills). More skilled positions than helpers, would like to have both positions qualified to roll. Must have the capacity to learn and understand pass schedules-computerized on Z22 but manually calculated on the other mills, Z25 work rolls are exceptions to 50# rule (approx 55#) must be able to lift and insert into the mill without scratching the work rolls, able to read and understand a micrometer, tape measure, pocket surf (Ra) meter, operate forklift as well as pendant or remote overhead cranes. Attention to detail, customer requirements are computer literacy (ga, surface roughness, shape requirements) load Diatomaceous Earth (50# bags) wear dust mask, into oil for improved filtration. Tandem entry was problematic and would require additional training up front

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include operating machinery, performing quality inspections, and reading blueprints. Your proficiency with tools such as micrometers and calipers, along with your computer literacy, will be essential for maintaining high standards of output. With additional skills in CNC programming and fabrication, you will contribute to a safe and efficient work environment while meeting production goals.
