Accountant/Auditor

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant/Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining and analyzing bank and credit card statements, and all financial records to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.

This role is crucial in identifying areas of risk, enhancing financial management processes, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The Auditor will work closely with various departments to provide insights that drive organizational and internal control improvement.

Part Time position with scheduling flexibility. This is an in office position.

• Quickbooks General Ledger
• 10 separate EIN's
• 20 back accounts
• Active Amex and Visa accounts used for payables

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough audits of financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare detailed documentation, highlighting findings and recommendations for improvement.
• Evaluate internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate to assess financial management practices and identify areas for enhancement.
• Provide guidance on best practices in public accounting and corporate governance.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends that may impact audit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
• Forensic Accounting Experience a PLUS
• Quickbooks Enterprise - Certified Pro Advisor preferred.
• 10 years experience with Quickbooks Desktop
• Other Point of Sale Software experience preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools used for financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in financial report writing with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Previous experience in public accounting or corporate auditing is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
