Safety Manager

Job Summary:

Construction Contractor is a reputable construction company specializing in commercial projects across California. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. You will work closely with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and minimize risks within the organization. Must have experience as construction safety manager. Preferred Certification: OSHA 500, CSP, SMS, PSHO, SHS, PSHO, CHST, CPR/FA. If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for promoting workplace safety, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices. Preferred subjects: fall protection, confined space, electrical safety, Forklift, and Aerial Lift.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other relevant information
• Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and ensure their effective implementation.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry’s best practices.
• Monitor workers' compensation claims and collaborate with insurance providers to manage claims effectively.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks in the workplace.
• Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure safety measures are implemented on construction sites.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in construction management software for tracking safety-related data.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards (NEC, OSHA).
• Excellent understanding of workers' compensation processes.
• Knowledge of EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate safety information to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying hazards and developing appropriate control measures.
• Experience in compliance management related to safety regulations.
• Proven track record in implementing successful safety programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
