Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices. Preferred subjects: fall protection, confined space, electrical safety, Forklift, and Aerial Lift.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other relevant information
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and ensure their effective implementation.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry’s best practices.
- Monitor workers' compensation claims and collaborate with insurance providers to manage claims effectively.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks in the workplace.
- Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure safety measures are implemented on construction sites.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in construction management software for tracking safety-related data.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards (NEC, OSHA).
- Excellent understanding of workers' compensation processes.
- Knowledge of EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate safety information to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying hazards and developing appropriate control measures.
- Experience in compliance management related to safety regulations.
- Proven track record in implementing successful safety programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
