Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing insightful account analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in Quickbooks. Experience in payroll a plus.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording debits and credits accurately.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare necessary journal entries.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide required documentation.
- Support management with financial reporting and analysis to aid decision-making.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
