Position: Banquet Manager
Position Summary: As our Banquet Manager, you'll oversee the banquet department, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for both employees and guests. You'll be responsible for managing banquet staff, coordinating events, and maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
Essential Functions:
- Event Coordination: Review Banquet Event Orders and prepare banquet rooms for daily functions.
- Operational Excellence: Perform opening and closing procedures, maintain food and beverage levels, and ensure timely service.
- Team Leadership: Select, train, supervise, develop, and evaluate banquet staff. Schedule staff for events and manage performance.
- Customer Satisfaction: Creatively solve customer requests and ensure a memorable guest experience.
- Inventory Management: Perform monthly inventory of banquet equipment and manage supplies.
- Budget Management: Maintain labor costs within budget and prepare bills for events.
- Safety and Security: Ensure equipment is in working order and secure the banquet area.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Keep work areas organized and professional.
- Report unsafe conditions and maintain good relationships with other departments.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three years of banquet experience.
- Government-required licenses or certificates.
- Knowledge of food service techniques and beverage cost control.
- Exceptional guest service skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct activities of employees.
- Strong judgment, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional appearance and effective communication.
- Ability to work any day and hour, independently and as part of a team.
