Overview
The Logisitics Manager is responsible in leading the daily operations of the transportation department. Contributing to the development and the implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices. They will also be a champion for workplace safety, team motivation, and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions
· Maintain and oversee a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are properly maintained, serviced, and compliant with regulations.
· Schedule regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure fleet safety and reliability.
· Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and overall performance of vehicles to optimize efficiency.
· Create and adjust a route schedule per company, client, and driver needs.
· Coordinate with production supervisors to schedule deliveries according to production schedules and clients demands.
· Train and supervise a team of drivers and transportation personnel.
· Assign routes and tasks to drivers, ensuring fair distribution of workload.
· Provide coaching and support to drivers to ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
· Stay updated on transportation regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
· Maintain accurate records of driver qualifications, vehicle inspections, and regulatory documentation.
· Handle any compliance issues or violations promptly and effectively.
· Liaise with internal departments, including production, to coordinate transportation activities.
· Serve as a back up as needed for Production
· Communicate with suppliers, clients, and transportation partners to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns.
· Resolve driver and transportation-related issues and provide timely updates on an on-call basis.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the transportation function.
· Proficient understanding and management of Encore, Geotab, LinenTech, and Camera’s system.
· Implement new technologies or strategies to enhance transportation efficiency and effectiveness.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
· Responsible for managing quality, productivity, efficiency, capacity, safety, cost control and employee professional development.
· Partner with Human Resources dept. for any and all employee conflict, safety, hiring, and training.
· Maintain communication with Customer Support/Sales Manager to assure quality linen is delivered and quick resolution of client issues /concerns.
· Any other duties that revolve around the transportation department

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Education:
- Bachelors Preferred
Language:
Must be Bilingual- Spanish.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of prior experience in logistics, production, warehouse or management experience required.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Administrative responsibility
- Supervises transportation team
