Shift: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Shift Rotation: 3 days on (Sat, Sun, Mon), 2 days off (Tues, Wed), 2 days on (Thurs, Fri), 3 days off (Sat to Mon)
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bio-Process Associate to join our team in Devens, MA. This role involves operating control systems and processes within a Biotechnology Pilot Plant. The selected candidate will prepare process buffers and reagents, clean equipment, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, reporting maintenance needs, following SOPs and batch records, and maintaining compliance with cGMP and safety requirements. Candidates must maintain accurate records, log activities, and achieve proficiency through training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate control systems and biotechnology processes as assigned
- Prepare buffers and reagents as needed
- Maintain clean and orderly workspaces
- Follow SOPs, batch records, and cGMP requirements
- Report safety, maintenance, and operational issues
- Assist with on-the-job training of other technicians
- Perform venous punctures for injection of contrast media
- Monitor patient reactions and ensure proper use of safety devices
- Communicate with management about operational status
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of process operations experience
- AS or BS degree preferred
- 1 years of experience in a bioprocess manufacturing role
- Must have experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Familiarity with general chemistry, mathematics, microbiology, and cGMP
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
- Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
- Shift work and overtime required
