Job Title: BMS & Controls Technicians – Upcoming Project (Hudson Valley, NY – Local Candidates Only)
We are seeking local BMS and Controls Technicians for an upcoming project based in the Hudson Valley region of New York. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent hours with competitive pay on a key building automation project. Additional travel work may be available after the completion of the local project.
Job Details:
- Location: Hudson Valley, NY (must currently reside in the area)
- Hours: 40 to 55 hours per week
- Compensation: Pay DOE (we want to hear what you're targeting)
- Start Date: TBD – collecting early interest now
- Duration: Project-based with potential for continued work
- Future Opportunities: Travel work may be offered after local project ends
**Responsibilities:**
- Install, commission, and service Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Perform low-voltage wiring and controls integration with HVAC/mechanical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
- Troubleshoot, test, and verify proper system functionality
- Coordinate with project leads, foremen, and related trades on site
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in BMS, building automation, or controls work
- Familiarity with major systems such as Trane, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell is a plus
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and electrical components
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and tools required
