We are looking for a talented Bookkeeper with an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy. As the Bookkeeper with us, the ideal candidate will be expected to handle communications with vendors, members, internal departments, assist with inventory, billing internal departments and member charges via proprietary accounting systems, manage the member database, prepare financial reports, issue checks and make deposits, and generally ensure that the office operations are running smoothly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multi-task, work independently and on a team, and manage time. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to communicate with all levels internal and externally. Ability to perform simple accounting procedures. Knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures. Knowledge of accounting procedures and principles. Knowledge, skill, and ability to be always professional and courteous with all members and vendors. Ability to operate and perform required task using a computer. Knowledge, skill, and ability to create excel spreadsheets, memo in Word, and email using Outlook. Possess knowledge and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles. Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information. High level of accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.
· Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.
· Recording information, processing, and filing forms.
· Preparing checks, deposits, budgets, and financial reports.
· Updating ledgers, researching, and resolving discrepancies.
· Timely month end and fiscal year end reporting and closing.
· Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles.
· Responding appropriately to vendors, clients, and internal requests.
· Ensuring Accounting transactions are smoothly and efficiently.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
· 3 years financial software experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Reporting skills
· Organization, attention to detail, productivity, and dependability
· Tripleseat Events Management Software is a plus but not required.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
· Previous accounting experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
