Job Description: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding our business within the current territory and identifying opportunities for growth in new areas. You will collaborate with Product Specialists and management to identify sales growth opportunities, ensure thorough lead follow-up, and develop innovative strategies to increase sales.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new markets, trends, and opportunities
- Assist Product Specialists with working leads and improving close rates
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Specialists
- Set sales targets and quotas and develop plans for revenue growth
- Train and onboard Product Specialists
- Attend industry events and conferences
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure best practices and effective marketing
- Propose and implement changes to product and service offerings in collaboration with the COO
- Ensure compliance with company core values and industry standards
- Cover Product Specialist absences to maintain sales and customer service
Experience
- Proven experience in business development, sales management, or a related field, demonstrating a successful track record of driving sales growth (10 years experience is preferred).
- Highly skilled in recruiting, training, and continuously motivating a high-performing sales team.
- Strong employee management skills with the ability to manage multiple employees, leads, and locations simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Zoho or similar customer relationship management (CRM) software is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
- Ability to conduct thorough sales data and lead management analysis and develop effective strategies based on findings.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
- A strategic thinker who can contribute innovative ideas for business growth.
