What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Office Manager position at Confidential?
· Oversee the functions of the business office including assisting with marketing functions, coordinate billing, accounts receivable and payable processing, and making bank deposits.
· Process all billing and collection activities.
· Ensure timely collection of A/R from all payer sources including collections process for untimely payments.
· Analyze collections on a monthly basis and assess level of bad debt reserves, review and recommend write-offs.
· Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operations.
· Post ledgers, balance and reconcile accounts.
· Ensure efficient operations and compliance with the financial goals established in the approved budget.
· Assist in development of Operating and Capital Expenditure Budget.
· Serve as principal telephone and office receptionist as necessary during business hours.
· Maintain and safeguard the property of the company in accordance with accepted policies.
· Assist with various departments as assigned by the supervisor.
· Actively participate in marketing the services of all areas as requested and ensure achievement of goals established in the annual operating budget.
· Promote a positive and efficient work atmosphere by assisting in establishing an organization, which has a formal system of accountability and clear chain of command.
· Act professionally and honestly at all times.
· Cooperate to the fullest extent possible with all municipal, county, state, and federal agencies, departments, bureaus and commissions which maintain or exercise any regulatory authority over the company.
· Cooperate with all professional organizations, which have an interest in the company.
· Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operation of the company.
· Participate in all staff activities designed to develop teamwork, unity and promote morale.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field or two years of experience.
- Previous experience in business office operations preferred.
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with others.
