Carrier Sales Representative

Overview:
As a Brokerage/Carrier Sales Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely delivery of customer goods by securing suitable carriers at competitive prices. Success in this position hinges on cultivating and enhancing relationships with transportation firms, assisting them in maximizing their fleet efficiency. This role encompasses elements of inside sales, account management, and operational tasks to fulfill our customers' shipping requirements. In this dynamic and energetic role, you'll contribute to the efficiency of the supply chain on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
Develop new and grow existing carrier relationships (lead generation, cold calling, and referrals).
Build strong relationships with trucking company key contacts (i.e., owner-operators, dispatchers, and drivers).
Identify issues and work cross-functionally to determine and implement the best solution.
Maintain constant contact with carriers to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business agreements.
Provide exceptional service to our carriers and customers.
Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated and tracked in the system.
Source/negotiate rates

Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to persuade, motivate, influence,, and negotiate with others
Ability to thrive under deadlines, drive results, multi-task, and work with a sense of urgency
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across the company
Remains positive and flexible in an ever-changing environment with shifting priorities
Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
