About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join its team. The CIO will be the highest-level information technology (IT) position within the organization, providing strategic direction and guidance on all IT matters. This includes IT strategic planning, enterprise architecture, security planning, disaster recovery planning, and managing the IT portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the Information Services section, which encompasses a range of IT functions such as server, applications, network infrastructure, IT security, helpdesk, GIS services, and desktop support. The role also involves advising leadership on IT policies and procedures, as well as chairing the Information Technology Steering Committee to develop and implement IT strategies. Applicants for the CIO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years' of senior-level IT management experience. Alternatively, candidates with an Associate's degree and 7 years' of experience, or 9 years' of experience without a degree, will be considered. The role requires a strong background in managing large, high-risk IT projects, leading senior IT resources, and a proven track record of progressive experience in supervising technology staff. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate competencies in equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as the ability to foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and integrity. Experience in state or government IT roles, knowledge of state contracting and procurement laws, and proficiency in enterprise-level information management systems are highly desirable.
