Job Summary:
The Compliance Analyst I will play an important role in ensuring the adherence of the company's marketing and sales activities to all regulatory and compliance requirements. This position will report directly to the Compliance Manager and will be responsible for assisting Compliance Leadership in day-to-day compliance initiatives related to all lines of business, including marketing materials, agent training, reporting, auditing, monitoring, corrective action plans, policies and procedures, complaints, disciplinary investigations, and monitoring the Compliance Hotline. This role will contribute to the development and maintenance of a strong culture of compliance within the organization, helping to safeguard the company's reputation and standing with regulatory bodies and customers alike.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 1 years of experience in health insurance compliance
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Knowledge of health insurance operations and regulatory requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to Compliance leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Flexible and willing to assist Compliance leadership with various new projects and initiatives
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Intake, track, and compile documentation regarding complaint data and assist leadership with complaint responses.
- Intake, track, and compile documentation regarding escalated compliance matters, including investigations and audits.
- Assist with managing escalated compliance issues, working closely with the Compliance Manager and other team members to gather necessary information, analyze data, and develop action plans.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into reported compliance violations, including interviewing involved parties, compiling and reviewing relevant documentation, and documenting findings.
- Maintain the policy and procedure repository and annual review schedule.
- Assist with the compliance training initiatives for staff, agents, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with the reporting of accurate and timely submissions of required data to regulatory bodies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the company's overall compliance program, including risk assessments, audits, and monitoring activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
