About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel for Advertising Sales. The ideal candidate will be an experienced commercial lawyer with a strong background in drafting and negotiating advertising agreements. This key role involves supporting and advising senior stakeholders in the online advertising business, including the ad sales team and requires a focus on efficiency and relationship building. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, and will be the first point of contact for the ad sales team's questions regarding advertising contracts and products.Applicants for this role at The Company should have a JD, be admitted to at least one state bar, and have a strong academic background. A minimum of 8 years' legal experience is required, with at least 3 years' in-house experience preferred. The role demands a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and can manage a high volume of deals efficiently. Collaborative skills and excellent written and verbal communication are essential. Experience in B2B sales contracting, particularly in the context of social media or tech, and a good understanding of online advertising, ad tech, and data privacy regulations are also key requirements. Enthusiasm for the platform and its advertising business is a plus.
