We are seeking a reliable and motivated Construction Driver and Equipment Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that construction materials, tools, and equipment are delivered to job sites on time, organized efficiently, and maintained in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics, vehicle operation, and equipment maintenance, with excellent organizational skills to track inventory and manage warehouse operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery and Transportation:
- Safely operate trucks and trailers to transport materials, tools, and equipment to various job sites.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring secure transportation to prevent damage or loss.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet project deadlines and minimize downtime.
Warehouse and Inventory Management:
- Track and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in the warehouse and on job sites.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of the location of all tools and equipment.
- Organize the warehouse for optimal storage, accessibility, and cleanliness.
Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance:
- Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Identify and report mechanical issues, arranging repairs as needed.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition, conducting minor repairs as necessary.
General Duties:
- Collaborate with construction managers and site supervisors to prioritize and schedule deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory availability and job site needs.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies during transportation, equipment operation, and warehouse tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid driver's license with clean record required.
- Proven experience in operating trucks, trailers, and dump trailers.
- Basic knowledge of equipment and vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is required.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy materials and equipment (50 lbs).
- Proficiency with inventory management systems or willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
