Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Safety Associate to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, implementing training programs, and fostering a workplace culture committed to safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including OSHA 300 & 300A logs, and regulatory reporting.
- Develop, implement, and deliver training programs and schedules for staff to meet regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Schedule recurring and incidental training, testing, and consultations from outside vendors with internal teams.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and company safety policies.
- Respond to and document all workplace injuries and incidents and assist in investigations.
- Maintain up-to-date and available Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and review them for accuracy.
- Secure and monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and safety footwear.
- Inspect work environments to ensure safety rules are adhered to and safety equipment, such as fire suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, AEDs, and fall protection systems, is in proper working order.
- Monitor and document safety violations, maintain incident records, and enforce safety policies.
- Conduct and lead tailgate meetings to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Attend and contribute to safety meetings.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction safety or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
- Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Certification in safety-related programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
